Tour Britannia15 TVFor the first time in the history of Tour Britannia, the action from this year’s event will be filmed for an hour-long programme on Motors TV. Tour Ireland, the Irish edition of Tour Britannia (13-15 May), will be screened with the support of Vision Techniques and CBT (Cambridge Business Travel).

‘Tour Ireland’, will start and finish in North Wales but will take in around 24 hours in Ireland by using the high-speed ferry from Holyhead to Dublin. Following documentation and scrutineering in Llandudno on Tuesday 12 May, the tour will start early on Wednesday 13 May and finish back in North Wales on Friday 15 May. The Irish leg includes spectacular closed road special stages in the Wicklow Mountains as well as a race at Mondello Park.

The event will be filmed by Olly Dickinson and his team at OJD Media and, as well as the slot on Motors TV, the programme will be available via YouTube. All entrants will receive a complimentary copy of the programme on DVD.

The TV coverage will feature both the competition and regularity competitors and will aim to capture the unique spirit and atmosphere of Britain’s only race and rally tour.

Event director Alec Poole said: “I’m delighted to confirm that a TV package is now in place for Tour Ireland and I hope this will bring the event to a wider audience. We are grateful to Vision Techniques and CBT for their support. It is also an important additional benefit for our competitors and I think the venues we visit in North Wales and Ireland will make a tremendous backdrop to the motor sport action.”

To maintain the friendly atmosphere and camaraderie for which the event is renowned, entries will be limited and regulations and entry forms are available from the event website:
