Tour Ireland readyNick and Harry Whale will lead the Tour Ireland field away from Llandudno on Wednesday morning (13 May) at the start of Tour Ireland.

The three-day classic race and rally tour takes in two races at Anglesey and two races at Mondello as well as asphalt special stages either side of the Irish Sea. Never before have competitors raced in the UK and the Republic of Ireland on the same day. WD-40 Company has launched a competition for mechanics to win £500 and the opportunity to become part of new The Sun/WD-40 rally team. The winner of the ‘Be My Mechanic’ competition will not only receive £500, but will also be invited to support the team at the final round of the World Rally Championship in Wales this November.

The winner of the ‘Be My Mechanic’ competition will help to look after the team’s £150,000 295bhp Ford Fiesta R5 rally car during the four day Wales Rally GB event, which sees Rob Gill – The Sun’s motoring editor behind the wheel.
