Almost 12 months after winning his class on his international rallying debut in America, British rally co-driver Phil Hall racked up yet another transatlantic victory as he guided Chris Greenhouse to a two wheel drive win at the second round of the Canadian Rally Championship, Rallye Baie-Des-Chaleurs. The ambitious 26 year old from Nottingham also netted a top ten result alongside Greenhouse in his Dodge Neon SRT-4, taking victory by over two minutes from their nearest rival. Read More »

Hamilton HawthornReigning Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton was delighted to receive the Hawthorn Memorial Trophy from Rob Jones, Chief Executive of the Motor Sports Association (MSA), at Silverstone today (Thursday 2 July) ahead of this weekend’s British Grand Prix.

The Hawthorn Memorial Trophy is awarded annually to the most successful British or Commonwealth driver in the previous year’s FIA Formula One World Drivers’ Championship. Read More »

Kumho Goodwood15Three strong showings in previous Goodwood Festival of Speed rally shootouts netted David Wright an invite for last weekend’s (June 26-28) event, an honour he repaid by beating some of the fastest drivers in British rallying to win the prestigious competition outright in his Kumho-shod Ford Focus WRC.

Wright was on the pace from the very start of the three-day event, setting fastest time of all on the Friday in his Martini-liveried ex-Carlos Sainz Focus. Read More »

On much smoother, flowing roads than in Argentina, Portugal and Italy, the WRC kicks off a high-speed summer in Poland, before heading for Finland. In Mikołajki, Mads Østberg/Jonas Andersson and Kris Meeke/Paul Nagle will be driving the two DS 3 WRCs entered. The Citroën Total Abu Dhabi World Rally Team lies second in the Manufacturers’ World Rally Championship just ahead of the halfway point of the season.
