Rhys_Yates_PR3_15_NGSBrettex Site Services backed Ford Fiesta R2 pilot Rhys Yates took yet another maximum points haul in the REIS-Ravenol BTRDA Series with a second place in class B10 at the Nicky Grist Stages in Wales last weekend.  Having lead from the very first stage, Yates was on fine form throughout the day losing victory by the narrowest of margins on the final stage of the event.  The Chesterfield pilot took maximum points in the series thanks to being the first registered contender home and records four victories in a row, meaning he also takes an impressive lead in the two wheel drive Silver Star category. The European leg of the FIA WTCC season ended in triumph for the Citroën Total team, which scored two one-two finishes in the streets of Vila Real. In race one, José María López and Sébastien Loeb built on their qualifying form to take an uncontested one-two finish. Marked by a multitude of incidents, race two brought a smile to Ma Qing Hua. The Chinese driver won his second ever race in the FIA WTCC ahead of Yvan Muller. The four Citroën drivers retain the top four places in the World Championship: José María López (322 pts) ahead of Yvan Muller (267), Sébastien Loeb (230) and Ma Qing Hua (146).

In front of 31,000 spectators (throughout the weekend) Audi maintained its one-two lead in the DTM drivers’ standings and first place in the DTM manufacturers’ classification. Audi’s man of the race on Sunday was Mattias Ekström, who in the Red Bull Audi RS 5 DTM of Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline shone with a recovery.
