Gamble pre-Woodpecker15The Kumho Tyres shod Swift pairing are aiming to take no less than the 1400 honours next weekend, when they will be tackling the Event Signs Woodpecker Stages Rally on Saturday 5th September which they took the 1400 victory on last year.

The event, starting in Ludlow, Mid Wales is a counting round of the BTRDA Kick Start 1400 Rally Championship, of which Mark Gamble & his co-driver; Steve Link last competed in the Plains Rally back in May, where they led the first stage until they unfortunatley retired with a mechanical issue. GT Academy ManchesterNissan is on the hunt for the racing drivers of tomorrow and will be bringing the final leg of qualifying for its pioneering GT Academy competition to Manchester Trafford Centre on 12th and 13th September 2015.

Across the two-day event, motorsport enthusiasts are invited to put their gaming skills to the test and participate in a Gran Turismo®6 race on Nissan’s circular PlayStation® pods. The top racers from Saturday and Sunday will be invited to come back for the final on Sunday, and will participate in a number of activities and interviews before one lucky gamer will win a place in the Nissan PlayStation GT Academy Race Camp in Abu Dhabi in October. WorldRX15 ButtonBritish Formula One stars Jenson Button and David Coulthard today visited Lydden Hill – home to the British round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy – as both drivers tested a pair of Supercars as part of a BBC F1 feature which will be aired later this year.  Button, whose father John competed in rallycross in the 1970s, spoke of an “unbelievable experience” while Coulthard acknowledged the huge talent of World RX drivers.
