McLaren Spa Sep15aAn incident filled race weekend at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium saw McLaren GT factory driver Alvaro Parente and teammate Miguel Ramos extend the lead of the International GT Open championship with a double podium finish for customer team Teo Martin Motorsport. Changeable conditions midway through the first race caught out the team’s sister car, driven by fellow McLaren GT factory driver Rob Bell and McLaren GT Young Driver Andrew Watson, but the pairing showed strong pace throughout the weekend, securing pole position and a solid top five finish in the second race. JD Classics Brighton15– JD Classics took a class win at the world-famous Brighton Speed Trials over the weekend in the team’s 1954 Cooper T33
– The car was last driven at the Brighton Speed Trials in 1955, when its owner Cyril Wick took best time of the day in its class
– JD Classics MD Derek Hood set a fastest time of 13.90, with a top speed of 106mph

British racer Jordan King endured a tough weekend in the eighth round of the GP2 Series in Italy, but emerged with championship points for the third race in succession and a second pole position to add to his maiden-season tally.
