Carlisle Stages pre16aThe route for the 2016 DMACK Carlisle Stages (Saturday 11 June) has been unveiled and will include two stages of more than 13 miles in length.

With continued title sponsorship from DMACK, the event will offer 42 stage miles in the Kershope and Newcastleton complexes for contenders in the BTRDA Rally Series and several regional championships. The entry fee has been set at £480, reducing to £430 for Rally First contenders. Read More »

McLaren Misano16aThe McLaren 650S GT3 began its 2016 European campaign in the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup opener at Misano, Italy with a double points finish. Despite tricky conditions throughout, Factory Drivers Rob Bell and Alvaro Parente scored valuable points in both races of the weekend and showed impressive pace during qualifying in the #58 McLaren 650S GT3, run by new customer team Garage 59. With the opening meeting of the season at the Paul Ricard Circuit complete, the FIA WTCC is moving on to Slovakia and Hungary for two rounds in two consecutive weekends. José María López and Yvan  Muller will be doing their utmost to earn further success for the Citroën Total team.

The Slovakia Ring and the Hungaroring are just 200km apart, but two completely different race tracks. As an ultra-fast circuit, the Slovakia Ring is comparable with the Nürburgring as a “temple of speed”, where drivers will be at full throttle for 67% of the lap and record average speeds of over 170kph. In contrast, the Hungaroring requires drivers to make full use of their spoilers to maximise grip on the narrow, winding track. Read More »

The 2016 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship will speed into Donington Park for high-octane thrills ‘n’ spills next weekend (16/17 April).

A record-breaking 32 cars took to the starting grid at Brands Hatch for the recent season-opener, delivering three breathless races around the short Indy loop that augured well for an exciting campaign ahead. Somerset16aOne of the most exciting top ten in recent history will head a 130 strong field away from Minehead this weekend, as the Somerset Stages rally returns once again to the seaside resort on Saturday 16th April. BHRC16 RNWdThe TV coverage of the second round of the Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship, Rally North Wales, will first be screened on Friday 15 April at 9.35pm on Motors TV.

Filming and TV production for the 2016 BHRC is being handled by the team at Special Stage and the championship will enjoy dedicated 60-minute programmes on Motors TV. Irishman Josh Moffett and co-driver John Rowan won the second round of the MSA British Rally Championship on April 8, after a weekend of attrition on the famous Circuit of Ireland. No fewer than four drivers held the lead during the two-day event, but the 23-year-old mastered the Belfast-based event in his Ford Fiesta R5 to claim a 27 second margin over Jonathan Greer and Kirsty Riddick in their Citroen DS3 R5. David Bogie and Kevin Rae made it three marques in the top three as they rounded out a Pirelli podium clean sweep in their Skoda Fabia R5.
