Blancpain GT Series Endurance – Silverstone

Our first visit to a Blancpain GT Series race saw us take in the 3hr endurance race at Silverstone. With dry conditions and periods of warm sunshine the race was fast and frantic, with over 20 cars still on the lead lap at the halfway point. A late safety car bunched up the field with little more than 20 minutes of racing time left so it was hard fought win for Maxi Buhk / Dominik Baumann / Jazeman Jaafar in the HTP Motorsport Mercedes SLS by less than a second from the Belgian Audi Club Team WRT’s Audi R8 of Laurens Vanthoor / Dries Vanthoor / Fred Vervisch. The pole position sitting GRT Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracan driven by Mirko Bortolotti / Rolf Ineichen / Jeroen Bleekemolen completed the podium.
