New Era, the world’s leading sports and lifestyle headwear brand, is proud to announce a global headwear partnership with British Formula 1® team, McLaren Honda.

The collection sees the coming together of two of the world’s most recognised and renowned leaders in their fields. As the global headwear partner of Major League Baseball (MLB), the National Football League (NFL) and Manchester United Football Club, this will be the brand’s first venture into Formula 1® motor racing by partnering with Grand Prix race champions, McLaren.

New Era has created a limited edition heritage pack in celebration of the 50th anniversary of McLaren’s Formula 1® debut at the Monaco Grand Prix in 1966.

The headwear collection takes its design cues from the past with heritage colours, authentic materials and celebrated themes, all of which reflect McLaren’s racing pedigree. All caps are made in 100% vintage leather, serving as a reminder of a young Bruce McLaren ingeniously renovating the Austin Ulster and using a leather strap to secure the bonnet. The denim features replicate the mechanics’ overalls from the early days and the waxed canvas draws inspiration from the toolkit bags used on the circuit. Every detail tells a unique story of McLaren’s 50 years of racing, and to complete this signature collection, the canvas has been purposely dyed rocket red, a colour synonymous with McLaren’s victorious years in motorsport.
