Blair Brown CholKinross based, Blair Brown (20) is to make his debut appearance at this year’s Cholmondeley Power and Speed Motorsport Festival thanks to the MSA British Rally Championship (BRC) organisers. The only Scottish Junior competing in this year’s BRC, will take his Ford Fiesta R2T out on the all asphalt track to showcase his skills in front of 30000 spectators each day.

Now in its 8th year and billed as the “Goodwood of the North”, this year’s Festival theme is Supercars: past, present and future. Taking place over the weekend of 10th – 12th June in Cheshire, not only will Blair have the opportunity to compete in the rally class time trials on the 1.2 miles track, but also meet the motorsports enthusiasts who can wander the pits and enjoy the atmosphere in the midst of the drivers and their teams. Amongst the 150 strong line-up of iconic cars and bikes taking part are the Aston Martin Rapide, Ferrari Daytone and 1989 Lamborghini Countach and the 1959 Vincent Viscount.

Commenting on the event Blair said “I am delighted to have been invited to attend this year’s Festival. Rallying isn’t just about competing on stage. If you really want to make it a career you have to put the effort in by mixing in the right circles at the right events and Cholmondeley is a perfect opportunity to do this. This is the first year of the MSA British Rally Championship under new management and it is vital for competitors to support the promotion of event to ensure it grows. There is also the added benefit of showcasing the rally car and promoting my current sponsors, Burn Construction and the QTS Group which is vitally important plus a chance to network amongst some real petrol heads – a perfect weekend really”.

As well as constant track action each day visitors can enjoy air displays, trade stalls, a family fun fair and Craft Beer and Comedy Festival. Full details available at http://www.cpop.co.uk.

Blair can be seen next in action on the fourth round of the MSA British Rally Championship on RSAC Scottish Rally, Dumfries on the 25th June.
