BBR pirelliThe only competing Scottish junior rally team, Blair Brown Rallying will be looking for success on the next round of the 2016 DMACK Junior MSA British Rally Championship at the RSAC Scottish Rally next weekend (Saturday 25th June). The event, based in and around Dumfries, is the closest thing to their home round of the series. Kinross based Blair Brown and co-driver Richard Simmonds from Duns will be looking for a good result to keep their debut championship on-track and secure a respectable finish position.

Blair already has some experience of the stages from previous events and plans to put that to good use from the outset by pushing hard from the start of the event.

Quietly confident that he and Richard are up to the challenge Blair said: “As the only Scottish event in the championship we are really looking forward to this round. We are facing some stiff competition from more experienced crews but having competed a couple of times in the Scottish rally before we are ready and up for the challenge.”

Co-driver Richard said: “We’re both feeling pretty good at the moment. We have spent a bit of time working on our notes after the last event so our confidence is high. It’s been over a month since the Pirelli rally so we’re really looking forward to getting back into the Fiesta R2T and securing a good run on home soil”.

The only one-day event in the championship kicks off in Dumfries Town Centre on Saturday 25 June and comprises of eight stages running over 65 miles. Cars will begin returning to the Town Centre for the finish line and prize giving from around 18:20 that evening. Full spectator information is available at
