The races in the G Formula 4 Championship are always very chaotic with many accidents and restarts. No different were the races of last weekend in which many incidents occurred and resulted in numerous Safety Car situations and red flags during the race. By driving consistently in all three races and carefully steering clear of trouble, the young hot talent from The Netherlands driving for the Van Amersfoort Racing team raised various eyebrows by finishing every race and scoring valuable points for the championship.

During the free practices, the track of Oschersleben was mainly wet while the races were run in dry conditions. Despite that it was the second time that the German Formula 4 Championship visited this track this year, it was still a major change for the drivers from wet conditions in practice to dry circumstances during these races. As a result it was at the beginning a matter of finding the fastest racing lines to achieve good lap times during the race and being able to fight for positions. Thanks to the gained experience during the first racing weekend of the season on this track, Leonard was able to achieve good results in the first two races of the weekend.
