BHRC Red Dragon16dThe TV coverage of the sixth round of the Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship, the Red Dragon Rally, will first be screened on Friday 2 September at 9.35pm on Motors TV.

Filming and TV production for the 2016 BHRC is being handled by the team at Special Stage and the championship will enjoy dedicated 60-minute programmes on Motors TV. Omologato Ecurie Ecosse AThe long-established racing team’s livery has appeared on some of the most famous cars in the history of motorsport, and is now on the official Omologato Écurie Ecosse Chronograph.

The Écurie Ecosse team was founded by F1 driver turned businessman David Murray in 1951, and enjoyed fantastic success despite operating on a modest budget. Despite its relatively humble beginnings, the team has seen some of the most famous drivers in the history of motorsport pass through its ranks. The likes of Jackie Stewart, Jim Clark and double Le Mans champion Ron Flockhart all drove for Écurie Ecosse throughout the years. Sam Bilham in actionDespite leading the ultra-competitive Fiesta ST Trophy for much of the season, Bingley rally ace Sam Bilham will need a little ‘lady luck’ on his side at this weekend’s Event Signs Woodpecker Stages. (Saturday 3rd September). Thanks to the drop scores which now come into effect in the series, Bilham heads to the penultimate round of the championship with an uphill task on his hands if he is to have any chance of taking the title this season. The 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship goes global this weekend as the teams head outside of Europe for the first of the ‘flyaway’ races.

Mini Poland16 (1)Baja Poland, the seventh round of the FIA Cross Country World Cup, proved once again to be the arena for Polish rally expert Krzysztof Holowczyc to showcase his exceptional driving talent. For Holowczyc, this particular race and fine second place result will be equally memorable as his five previous Baja Poland victories.

The 2016 edition of Baja Poland was a one-off race for Holowczyc – and first major race since his retirement at the end of the 2015 rally season. With fellow countryman Lukasz Kurzeja in the co-driver seat, the pair started Baja Poland in a determined mood. Read More »

mewla16 (6)A damp start on Epynt saw Damian Cole & Paul Morris (Fiesta WRC) take the initiative with a series of fastest stage times, over the first two loops, to take a half minute lead. Bob Fowden & Paul Wakely (Impreza WRC) were 2nd overall after a fastest stage time in the first 6 stages. Stage 7 saw Steve Simpson & Patrick Walsh (Impreza WRC) leap ahead in to 2nd place courtesy of their first stage win. Cole was well ahead though and 7 fastest stage times in total, saw him take a significant step towards another Asphalt championship title, winning by 43 seconds. Read More »
