MSA British Rally Championship hopeful Rhys Yates will join forces with series sponsor, Prestone during his 2017 assault on the series.

The Chesterfield rally driver will pilot the Brettex Site Services Fiesta R5 in the high profile championship and aims to better his 2016 result of tenth in the series. Having set a handful of fastest times last season, Yates has already attracted the attention of a number of high profile brands for his 2017 BRC campaign and Prestone is the latest addition to the team.

Prestone is the official title partner and official coolant and Screen wash supplier for the 2017 MSA British Rally Championship.

This year, the Brettex rally team have teamed up with Prestone as first fill on their team cars.

In addition they have been working together behind the scenes in the lead up to the start of the season to create a number of short films highlighting the hard work the team have been putting into preparation ahead of the championship and what it really takes to compete.

Yates is confident for the year ahead and feels support from Prestone will give him an additional edge in the series.

“There is no doubt that we will be pushing very hard this year and I need to know I can rely on the car one hundred per cent to be able to do that” he says. “Of course, a major factor in that is the fluid within the engine and Prestone is the perfect partner for the Fiesta. Their strapline is `Excels in Extremes` and there is no doubt we will be doing just that.  It’s a fantastic opportunity for the team and I hope this is the beginning of a long relationship with the brand.”

Yates will head to the opening round of the British Rally Championship this weekend for the Brick and Steel Border Counties Rally on 17th/18th March in Scotland.

Yates is also supported in 2017 by H&F, PES, Maun Motors, MFA, Calow Lane MOT Centre, The Mobility Shop, Glazebrook Transport, Woodleigh Motor Sales, Juice Motorsport and Clear Edge Filtration Group.
