Mark Gamble, is heading to the AGBO Stages again this weekend, alongside his usual co-driver, Steve Link, in the Suzuki Swift S1600, as a shakedown for the Manx National Rally in May.

The Pairing had a great outing on last year’s AGBO Stages, where they finished a very credible 8th Overall, and first Front Wheel drive.

Mark is aiming to better that result having had some upgrades to the car over Winter.

Mark’s comments: “It’s such a strong field, Most of the top 10 are previous winners, but really anyone in the top 20 are capable of winning. We’ll be aiming to improve our 8th overall from last year, and mix it with the much higher powered escorts.”

The Kumho backed pair are planning on heading back to the Isle Of Man again in May, for the Manx National Rally. The fast narrow roads of Weston Park will provide a great a great shakedown for the crew in reddiness for the narrow bumpy lanes of the Isle Of Man.

It will also be an ideal test to find a good setup for their new suspension which will improve the handling of of the car and give the crew added confidence.

Mark & Steve’s last outing in the Swift was on the Carfax Stages last August, where they finished a fantastic 5th overall against some very strong competition.

After plans to compete in the National Tarmac Championship being scuppered with the championship taking a year’s sabatical, it has left Gamble unsure of the season plans.

However after the Manx, he aims to compete in 2nd round of the British Rallycross Championship at Lydden Hill as he feels he has ‘unfinished business’.
