Bingley rally ace Sam Bilham has his sights firmly set on a second Fiesta Trophy win of the season at this weekend’s Ravenol BTRDA Rally Series qualifier, the Somerset Stages Rally.

The Motor Sports Association (MSA) has published the latest edition of its Stage Rally Safety Requirements (SRSRs), the template for the organisation of all UK stage rallies.

The SRSRs were first produced in 2015 as part of the RallyFuture programme to further enhance safety in UK stage rallying. This is the third time that they have been updated, following feedback from event organisers, Safety Delegates and others from within the UK rallying community. Read More »

The special award winners from the second round of the 2017 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship, Rally North Wales (Saturday 1 April) have been announced.

For the second event running, David Hopkins and Tony Vart collected the award for the ‘Best Improvement on Seeding’, which is a set of axle brake pads from Mintex. They started 31st among the historic crews but made tremendous progress to finish a class-winning 18th in the historic field. Read More »

Tom Ingram, Gordon Shedden and Andrew Jordan took a win apiece as the 2017 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship got underway at Brands Hatch this weekend (1/2 April).


Jeff Smith had secured the first pole position of the new campaign during mixed conditions on Saturday, but the experienced Eurotech Racing driver couldn’t hang on at the front once the lights went out for Sunday’s season-opener. Read More »

For the first time this season, the Citroën Total Abu Dhabi World Rally Team is to contest a rally with a line-up of three C3 WRCs. Following on from their dramatic win in Mexico, Kris Meeke/Paul Nagle will lead the charge, alongside Craig Breen/Scott Martin and Stéphane Lefebvre/Gabin Moreau.

The opening round of the 2017 FIA WorldRX Championship at Barcelona, Spain, saw the PEUGEOT 208 WRX 2017 reveal real potential for the fiercely-competitive campaign ahead.

– Saturday’s qualifying was troubled by rain, but Timmy Hansen overcame the adverse conditions to reach the final which saw him match the pace of his rivals. – Hayden Paddon took second overall on his competitive debut on Rallye Sanremo, his first competitive event in the New Generation i20 R5
– Gaining in confidence on tarmac throughout the rally, the event helped Paddon prepare for the stages of the Tour de Corse next weekend
– Battling against more experienced local crews in Sanremo, Paddon and co-driver Seb Marshall were fastest on the longest stage of the event on Friday night.
