Chui Lodge managers Geoff Mayes and Suzanne Zwager head into this weekends off road rally raid eager to get their season started. The pair will contest the two day Naivasha based event at the wheel of their Kingsway Tyres supported Landrover v8 rally raid beast.

After a massive rebuild of their car, including brand new XcelRide suspension, the pair are finally ready to contest their first event of the year. Geoff “it’s been a very long lay off between work commitments and events being cancelled but finally we are ready to race! We tested the car a few weeks ago and the custom built suspension, developed by Kenyan rally legend Azar Anwar, is working amazingly well! It also gave me a chance to adapt to the BF Goodrich KO2 tyres. Now we are ready to go out and race!”

Rally Raid 3, organized by the Vintage and Classic Car Club of Kenya, will take place around Lake Naivasha on Saturday and Sunday. The event will be based at the Ranch House Bistro near Kongoni Village on South Lake Road.

Geoff is a motorsport ambassador for “Hands off our Elephants” helping raise awareness for the poaching crisis affecting Africa’s wildlife. His rallying ventures are supported by Silverspread Rally Team, Purdy Arms of Nairobi and Kingsway Tyres.
