Castle Douglas rally ace Jock Armstrong took a record ninth Galloway Hills Rally win this weekend (9th September), powering his familiar orange Subaru Impreza to a narrow victory over current ARR Craib MSA Scottish Rally Champion Euan Thorburn.

Jock Armstrong and Cameron Fair took a convincing victory on the Armstrong Galloway Hills Rally this weekend (9th September), the final round of the 2017 ARR Craib MSA Scottish Rally Championship.

Despite finishing second overall by just three seconds, newly crowned champions Euan Thorburn and Paul Beaton elected not to score championship points in their Fiesta R5. This elevated Shaun Sinclair and Jamie Edwards to second SRC crew home in their Subaru Impreza S14 WRC. Read More »

Back out on the Tour of Britain again and the individual time trial proved pivotal. Clacton-on-Sea hosted the 16km stage and a stiff headwind on the final quarter really tested the riders. Lars Boom (Lotto NL Jumbo) took the stage victory and took the overall leaders jersey too. The following 3 stages proved really challenging with blustery winds and sharp showers, along with constant attacks from his GC rivals but Boom held on to take his 2nd Tour of Britain title.
