After winning his semi-final, Sébastien Loeb was on target for his second victory in Latvia but was instead forced to settle for step three of the podium at Round 10 of the 2017 FIA World Rallycross Championship.

• Sébastien Loeb overcame a modest start to the weekend (10th in Q1) to win Q4 and appear in second spot after the weekend’s qualifying phase. He went on to win his semi-final and was optimistic for the final before he found himself at the back of the pack after being forced off line following a perfectible start. Cataclean, the fuel and exhaust system cleaner for diesel, petrol and hybrid vehicles, will sponsor the British Motorsport Marshals Club (BMMC) overalls for the next three years. The partnership deepens Cataclean’s involvement in British motorsport, building on the Liverpool company’s sponsorship of DRM Motorsport in the Renault UK Clio Cup Championship. • The team’s Ford GT40 won the Six Hours, while the Costin Lister took victory in the Stirling Moss/Woodcote Trophy race
• JD Classics was also supporting two customer entries; an Austin Mini Cooper S a Jaguar XK120 ‘Ecurie Ecosse’
• Racing success at Spa Francorchamps follows JD Classics victory and two second-place finishes at Goodwood Revival the previous weekend

The special award winners from the seventh and eighth rounds of the 2017 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship, Rally Isle of Man (14-16 September) have been announced.

Championship newcomers Ken Graham and Rory McCann collected the award for the ‘Best Improvement on Seeding’, which is a set of axle brake pads from Mintex. They pushed their 1600cc Hillman Avenger up to 15th place in the historic field and won Category 2 in the process. Read More »
