Championship organisers are delighted to confirm that Paddy Hopkirk MBE will be the guest of honour at the upcoming 2017 ARR Craib MSA Scottish Rally Championship (SRC) Awards Dinner in Aviemore on Saturday 18th November.

The new President of the British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC) first came to prominence after winning the 1964 Monte Carlo Rally in a Mini Cooper, and alongside Henry Liddon, is still the last all British crew to win the classic event. The FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy and RX2 International Series presented by Cooper Tires will support the global Movember health campaign, which kicks off today (1 November). Movember’s South Africa campaign will activate at the upcoming Gumtree World RX of South Africa, which takes place at the Killarney International Raceway in just nine days’ time (10-12 November).

World RX drivers Timo Scheider and Topi Heikkinen have signed up as “Mo Bro” ambassadors alongside RX2 drivers Dan Rooke, Thomas Holmen, Guillaume De Ridder and Simon Wago Syversen. Progressive co-driver Phil Hall had a tough Dayinsure Wales Rally GB baptism last weekend (26-29th October) as he made his home World Rally Championship debut, sat alongside rising British talent Tom Williams.

Using an MH Motorsport Ford Fiesta 1.0 litre Ecoboost R2T for the very first time, Hall guided Williams to 5th in class RC2 and 51st overall, overcoming a damaged subframe and the use of Rally2 on Saturday’s leg of the event. Read More »

Oxshott rally driver Alex Waterman and co-driver Harry Thomas from Amersham overcame driveshaft failure in their EDSL backed Ford Fiesta R2 to finish Britain’s round of the FIA World Rally Championship, Dayinsure Wales Rally GB last weekend (26-29 October).

Despite being in only their inaugural year in the sport, both Waterman and Thomas would embark on the biggest challenge of their short career by contesting the WRC qualifier. Read More »

Double Sol Rally Barbados winner Paul Bird will compete in the final round of the Barbados Rally Paul Bird Club’s (BRC) Winter Rally at the end of this month.

The Cumbrian driver from Langwathby will be joined by fellow Brit Rob Swann as well as regional regulars, including Jamaica’s Jeff Panton, who currently leads the BRC Champion Driver title chase, in what promises to be an explosive climax to the domestic season. Read More »
