It was another close one down in Frocester as Roland Uglow took win number 3 in a row, this season. He had started round 3 trailing Ian Veale by a single point, with John Fack just a point further back, but thanks to five 0’s across the 8 hills he set a superb score of just 3 points to take victory from Veale by 8 points. Uglow really is in fine form and the BTRDA Gold Star Championship final in Penrith, next January, should be a really cracker. Paul Price matched Veale’s score of 12 on round 3 to secure 3rd overall by just two points from Richard Sharp who notched up a score of 9 points on the final round. The turbulent Formula E season opener in Hong Kong ended in disappointment for Audi. On Sunday night, Daniel Abt was stripped of the victory he had deservedly clinched on track in the worldwide electric racing series due to an alleged administrative mistake. Darlington and District Motor Club wish to announce that regulations will be available on Wednesday 6th December 2017 for the Jack Frost Stages Rally in association with Cartersport which will take Graeme Bellplace at Croft Circuit on Sunday 21st January 2018.

The 19th annual running of the event will again comprise up to eight stages totalling around 40 stage miles on the asphalt of the North East’s only permanent racetrack and is a qualifying round of a number of local championships. Read More »

The calendar for the 2018 Fuchs Lubricants RACRMC Historic Asphalt Rally Championship has been announced and will again comprise seven rounds at six events.

The championship is for two-wheel drive historic cars from up to the end of 1990, and is organised by the Roger Albert Clark Rally Motor Club alongside the MSA British Historic Rally Championship.

The 2018 calendar replicates the successful 2017 schedule and highlights include a double-header round on Rally Isle of Man in September, the Jersey Rally in October and the Salamandre Rally in Belgium in April. Read More »
