Former UK National Rally Champion Paul Bird confirmed today that he will enter Sol Rally Barbados 2018, hot on the heels of scoring maximum points in last Saturday’s (February 17) Visit Conwy Cambrian Rally in the forests of North Wales to take an early lead in the BTRDA Rally Championship. It would not be February for us without the visit to Race Retro. It remains a firm favourite and the best motorsport show we attend. The presence of Motor Sport enhances the show with some wonderful cars on display in hall 3. The mixture of F1, endurance racing and rally cars is perfect and the various displays dotted around the 4 halls are all very good. The 45th running of the Rallynuts Stages Rally heralds a significant change to the event formally known as the Severn Valley Stages, as entries open this week for the re-named event on the 14th April 2018.

Established racewear and accessory firm Rallynuts Motorsport became title sponsor of the rally in 2016 and thanks to the success of the past two years, have further enhanced the partnership by signing a long-term agreement to become title sponsors until 2023. Read More »

French manufacturer Renault has confirmed that it will officially support the upcoming Speedmachine festival [25-27 May, 2018], which incorporates the British leg of the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy.

Showcasing the All-New Renault Mégane R.S., visitors to the three-day Speedmachine festival will be treated to an exclusive opportunity to test-drive the Silverstone national circuit in the brand new machinery. There will also be a number of passenger rides in the All-New Renault Mégane R.S., which boasts 4CONTROL four-wheel steering.

The Renault announcement was made at an exclusive Speedmachine networking evening staged in London earlier this month, with a view to more manufacturer involvement to be announced in the upcoming weeks. Read More »
