Entries for Lombard Rally Bath were filled in three months, so now Mintex Rally Yorkshire – taking place between Friday 26 April and Sunday 28 April 2019 – will recreate parts of the iconic Mintex Seven Dales rallies of the 1970s and 1980s, as a non-competitive tour.

Minted Rally Yorkshire will be based at the Principal Hotel, York, which many rally competitors will remember as its previous incarnation as the Royal Station Hotel, where the RAC Rally was based for a number of years.

It will kick off on Friday afternoon with signing-on at the hotel’s Event Centre, followed by a period-styled Rally Forum, with a buffet dinner for entrants, who will be able to get to know one another. This will be hosted by Graham Robson and will feature the event’s star drivers. Read More »

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of Prescott Hillclimb the Gloucestershire venue will celebrate this landmark occasion with a special reunion of former hill record holders. The July celebration centres on gathering together as many former hill records holders as possible.

The list of confirmed attendees reads like a who’s who of Hillclimbing: from 1960s pacesetter and multiple Hillclimb champion David Boshier-Jones, Martyn Griffiths, David Grace, David Franklin, Alister Douglas-Osborn to Chris Cramer who plans to compete in the 1985 British Hillclimb Championship winning Gould 84G and six-time Hillclimb champion Scott Moran also competing in his Gould, which is the most winning car in British Hillclimb history. “When the flag drops, the talking stops”, a motor sport adage crews competing in Sol Rally Barbados 2018 will be reminded of on Friday, June 1, when they will leave the Ceremonial Start at the Vaucluse Raceway (VRW) and drive straight in to the opening stage on the RallySprint track. It marks the first time that the St Thomas venue – a regular location for rally finishes over the years – has played host to the start. Read More »
