Organisers are delighted to announce that this year’s RSAC Scottish Rally will see a change in format for the 19th of May event to incorporate the new Rally2WD initiative on the Dumfries and Galloway based event.

After confirming the proposed route programme this week, crews will return to the classic forest tests in Eskdalemuir and Beattock which will consist of two separate events, with the two-wheel drive vehicles competing in the morning and four-wheel drive vehicles taking on the same route in the afternoon. British rally driver Rhys Yates recorded a stunning debut in the FIA European Rally Championship (ERC) at the weekend, by taking third ERC Junior Under 28 driver.

Dubbed as one of the most competitive championships in the world, Yates would make his inaugural outing in the series on the mid-Atlantic Portuguese island which would also see the first appearance of his brand new Skoda Fabia R5. Read More »

A first for us as we took the opportunity to visit the BTCC Season Launch at Donington Park. The morning was dedicated to static photo shoots for the drivers and teams, as they presented their 2018 charges to the media. Then in the afternoon the crews had their only officially test session ahead of the new season. With wet conditions to start and a drying track the crews had a really useful afternoons testing. A sun drenched Royal Highland Centre at Ingliston was the scene for Round 1 of the 2018 Junior 1000 Ecosse Challenge on Sunday 25th March. The DCC Junior Stages, supported by WESTON TRANSPORT, was run by Dunfermline Car Club who put on an event that was a real credit to the organisers and their associates and the 12 Junior 1000 crews who crossed the startline loved it. Joining 9 Scottish crews were 2 young drivers from Northern Iraland and 1 from Lancaster, England. Read More »

Entries open for the 122nd staging of the world’s longest running and most charismatic motoring event

Entries for this year’s legendary Bonhams London to Brighton Veteran Car Run, supported by Hiscox open this week. The Royal Automobile Club will be staging the 122nd Run this year on Sunday 4 November. Read More »

The total of overseas entries confirmed for Sol Rally Barbados 2018 has moved into the twenties, with the announcement today (March 26) of three crews from the Turks & Caicos Motoring Club and the return of an American father and son duo, who made their Caribbean debut last year. Momentum is building for the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) premier event, with further announcements planned in the coming weeks ahead of the close of entries on April 27.

Sol RB18 will run from Friday to Sunday, June 1-3, with The Rally Show and Flow King of the Hill (KotH) the previous weekend, May 26/27. Since entries opened on the official web site – http://www.rallybarbados.net – on October 1 last year, approaching 90 have been posted, with 19 International crews and four from the wider Caribbean now confirmed, among them 12 in the four-wheel-drive classes. The special award winners from the opening round of the 2018 FUCHS LUBRICANTS MSA British Historic Rally Championship, Rally North Wales (Saturday 24 March), have been announced.

Ken Davies and Alan Jones collected the award for the ‘Best Improvement on Seeding’, which is a set of axle brake pads from Mintex. They had a good run in their Volvo Amazon to finish 43rd among the historic finishers. Read More »
