Nationwide Accident Repair Services returns to the Porsche Carrera Cup GB for the 2018 season, extending their run as the most successful sponsor in the history of the series. This year the UK’s leading and largest complete automotive repair services group will team up with 25-year old Dino Zamparelli in his quest for the title.

Zamparelli has twice finished as runner up in the championship and last year scored equal on points with Charlie Eastwood, who took the title by scoring one more victory than Dino over the course of the season. This season Dino will be working hard to improve his performance, much like Nationwide who are always looking for continuous improvements as a business.

Nationwide is a four-time Carrera Cup-winning sponsor, taking two titles apiece with Tim Harvey in 2008 & ’10, and Dan Cammish in 2015 & ’16. The championship is a perfect opportunity for Nationwide to showcase their shared values of quality, speed, value, service and teamwork.

Named after the 1978 USAC Champ Car series visit, the Brands Hatch Indy circuit packs six turns into its 1.2 miles, with an average lap speed of over 93 mph. Nationwide driver Dan Cammish holds the record with five Carrera Cup victories at the Kent circuit, one which Dino will be hoping to beat in the future.

“I love Brands Hatch,” said Zamparelli. “It’s a unique circuit to start the series at as it’s so small compared to everywhere else we go. It’s all so tight, usually only a few tenths cover seven or eight drivers but I’m looking forward to the challenge. Qualifying will be close but around Brands you get into a rhythm. I’ve been getting used to my new surroundings and understanding how the team at Redline Racing works. It takes time to settle in, but things have been positive.

“I can see from the media day that Nationwide is a big supporter of the Carrera Cup. I’ll make sure I do the best I can and get the best results I can, and it is impressive to see how involved Nationwide is. I’m looking forward to engaging with and meeting Nationwide team members across the season.”

Nationwiders and their families will find the Nationwide RaceHub at the circuit located along the main pit straight, just by the grandstand. This central meeting point for guests will feature the Nationwide Porsche Simulator where you can try to beat Dino’s time, information, collections for this year’s chosen charity, and the team on Sunday will be treated to an exclusive session to meet Dino, sign autographs, and pose for photographs.

Not heading to Brands Hatch?

Dino and Nationwide’s season begins on Friday April 6 with two 45-minute practice sessions at 11:30 and 16:10, before the all-important qualifying session on Saturday April 7 at 11:00.
