Mixed conditions hit the Lincolnshire track for the 2018 Alan Healy Memorial Stages. Chris West & Keith Hounslow (306 Maxi Kit Car) were fastest through the first 4 stages and held a seven second lead at the half way point of the rally. Disaster struck on stage 6 when they rounded a corner to find the stricken Fiesta of John Stone and quick thinking avoided a t-bone crash as they slid in sideways instead. Ian Woodhouse & Jason leaf (Escort MkII) took over in the lead but were in a tight battle with Mark Kelly & Andy Baker (Escort MkII). Kelly took the lead on the penultimate stage and with just two seconds separating the pair, the final stage would be tense.

Kelly held on and actually gained three seconds on Woodhouse to take a five second victory. Graeme Bell & Russ Radford (Satria Millington) were over a minute back in third place as a series of issues hit former leader West, as he drifted down to fifth overall falling behind Ian Bainbridge & Daniel May (Impreza) on the final stage.
