The time has come to officially announce that Baggsy will be competing in the full season of the Drift Masters European Championship 2018. The championship kicks off this weekend on the 8th and 9th of June in Poland. With a host of international drivers on the grid and 6 rounds across Europe, it’s going to be one hell of a season.

DMEC: Drift Masters GP started out with humble beginnings in 2014, with just 3 events held at one small custom built track. Even from the very beginning, however, the series was truly adored by both drivers and fans alike, really making us want to push the boundaries of what we could achieve.

Moving into 2015, we expanded to a 5-round championship, then moving on to a constant 6 events in both 2016 and 2017. Never ones to rest on our laurels, last season saw the Drift Masters GP reach its most prestigious venue to date in that of the famous Formula 1 circuit, the Hockenheimring.

As we move towards the beginning of the 2018 season, it’s safe to say that the Drift Masters European Championship aims to become the definitive professional drift organisation in Europe. With a calendar containing Europe’s highest-profile events and a grid of Europe’s most talented drivers, this is the championship drift fans have longingly anticipated for over 10 years. The very best venues, drivers, teams, organisers, promoters, judges, photographers, videographers, track team and livestream producers will work as one united entity to achieve a true world-standard European Championship.

Baggsy will be starting off the season with his Nissan #S13V8. With some major upgrades to the car, and coming straight off the back of a 1st place win at DHB, the season ahead is looking to be a solid one. And what better way to start it, than on a custom built drift track in front of 10,000 spectators in Plock, Poland.

For 2018, Baggsy will be joined by his new Acorn Insurance Motorsport teammate. A familiar face in the drifting world, Nigel Colfer will be the second driver on the SB Motorsport team. Behind the wheel of his Garrett Turbo 690hp 2JZ powered Nissan S13, Nigel plans to bring the fight to DMEC alongside Baggsy.

Baggsy: I simply can’t wait to get the DMEC season under way. Myself and the team have been watching the growth of Drift Masters over the last couple of years, and have wanted to get involved for a while now. The 2018 calendar has got some awesome venues in store, and the events promise to be insane. We have made some major upgrades to #S13V8, and we are ready to bring the fight. I’m stoked to be joining forces with Nigel Colfer this year! We have been good friends for quite some time now, and I look forward to building our relationship as teammates for SB Motorsport. The first round in Poland is on a purpose built drift track, inside a stadium, and in front of a 10,000 strong crowd. It is going to be amazing, and we can’t wait! So stay tuned for more..
