The past weekend saw another instalment of the world famous Gatebil Festival. set in the picturesque Rakkestad, Norway. Rudskogen Motorsenter played host to a 50,000 strong crowd of motorsport fanatics, and three days of petrol fuelled madness.

Baggsy and his #S13V8 were joined by fellow Monster Energy teammates, Luke Woodham, Sultan Al-Qassimi, Dmitriy Illyuk and Rick Van Goethem. The festival see’s three solid days of drifting and track action, along with after track parties, trade village and more. Spectators and drivers from all over the globe attend the event for its true uniqueness and craziness.

Baggsy, teamed up with Luke Woodham and Sultan Al-Qassimi took the second place step in the Gatebil Super 3 competition. A drift train competition that takes place on the last corner of the track. Maximum speed, proximity and smoke are the ingredients. The team brought all three to the table with an impressive display of precision driving.

Gatebil is one of the biggest horsepower festivals in Europe, and each year it gets a little bit more ridiculous. If cars are what make you tick, then definitely get it on your bucket list!

The fun doesn’t end there for Baggsy. Straight off the back of Gatebil, this weekend see’s the prestigious Goodwood Festival Of Speed take place. Celebrating it’s 25th anniversary, this years FOS promises to be a special one.

Taking on the famous hill in his #LSXR35. Baggsy will be joined by some of the best in the drifting business, including Vaughn Gittin Jr, James Deane, Mad Mike, Chris Forsberg and Deane Kearney. Over the past few years, the crowds of Goodwood have grown to love the drift displays. And this year in front of the 500,000 spectators across 4 days, the Goodwood Hill will be filled with smoke once again.

Baggsy: Gatebil is always a highlight of the drift calendar. It truly is the craziest event! The track is awesome, it has so many different corners, inclines and speeds. It really gives you the chance to push your limits and see exactly what your car is capable of. The fans are amazing, and to see the whole bank of the last corner filled for the Super 3 competition is quite something. Stoked on the teams second place win in the Super 3, Luke and Sultan were great fun to drive with. Next year we will be back for the top spot.

It’s an absolute honour to be invited back to Goodwood Festival Of Speed this year to celebrate the 35th Anniversary. I have loved participating in the drifting at the festival over the past 3 years, and I’m really excited to be back for 2018. We have made a few small improvements to the #LSXR35, and I can’t wait to put on the smoke show for everyone.
