Up-and-coming rally driver Finlay Retson will take on the biggest challenge of his short career, by tackling a round of the FIA World Rally Championship next week, the Dayinsure Wales Rally GB (4th -7th October).

The 18-year old will be one of the youngest drivers in the rally and will contest the gruelling four-day event behind the wheel of his Ford Fiesta R2. Based in Deeside near Chester, the event plays host to the final two rounds of the Prestone MSA British Rally Championship and the Blairgowrie pilot is still in with an outside chance of taking the hotly contested Cadet Cup title after a stunning victory at the Ulster Rally in August. Chesterfield rally driver Rhys Yates is all set to tackle Britain’s round of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) next week and has one eye firmly fixed on the Prestone MSA British Rally Championship (BRC) title at the Dayinsure Wales Rally GB (4th -7th October).

The Brettex backed Skoda Fabia R5 pilot will head to one of the biggest motorsport events in the UK with an outside chance at taking the British honours, as it offers two points scoring opportunities, spread across the arduous and challenging four-day route. Read More »

After 220 laps and almost 430 miles of racing, the 2018 Renault UK Clio Cup will come down to a nail-biting four-way title showdown between Max Coates (Scorton), Paul Rivett (Epsom Downs), James Dorlin (Barnsley) and Daniel Rowbottom (Kidderminster) on Kent’s legendary Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit this weekend (Sat 29/Sun 30 Sept).

Just seven points cover leader Coates, second-placed Rivett and Dorlin in third with a maximum of 56 to be had from the season’s final two rounds. Rowbottom in fourth is the outsider, currently 49 off Coates. Read More »

Motorsport North West can now confirm that they plan to run the Legend Fires North West Stages on Saturday 23rd March 2019, with a move to a new base in the Historic Lancashire market town of Garstang.

Following the change in the Road Traffic Act Legislation in 2017 the organisers took a year’s sabbatical to concentrate on the vast amount of work needed to pursue the possibility of a number of Closed Road Special Stages for the 2019 event. They are now pleased to announce that a an MSA permit has been issued which has allowed an application for a Motor Race Order to be submitted to the Local highways authority, Lancashire County Council.
