Steve Brown will head to the “Home of British Motor Racing” this weekend as he kick-starts his debut in the Toyo Tyres British Rallycross Championship behind the wheel of a Bellerby RX Racing Team BMW Mini at Silverstone Race Circuit (24th March).

The Rochdale driver can usually be found behind the wheel of a Nissan Micra Kit Car, tackling stage rallies in the UK and Europe, but will make a full-time switch to rallycross for the 2019 season after sampling the circuit-based sport in 2017 and again in 2018 in the BTRDA Clubmans Championship. EDSL Sport drivers Ruairi Bell and Jordan Reynolds highlighted the potential of the new M-Sport Fiesta R2 at last weekend’s West Cork Rally, with a string of top stage times in the Junior British Rally Championship category (16/17 March).

Both squad members impressed on what was both the car and crew’s debut in southern Ireland, with Bell giving the new Fiesta its first JBRC stage win on his way to fifth place in the category. A similarly strong showing by Reynolds was curtailed when an electrical issue caused an early bath for the youngster. Read More »
