A murky Cadwell Park saw the conclusion of the 2018/19 Circuit rally championship, where the top 3 were locked in battle all day. After a win at Anglesey last time out Frank Bird & Jack Morton (Focus WRC) were fastest through stage 1 to take an early lead. A couple of stalls on the 2nd stage saw them drop down the leaderboard though. Chris West & Keith Hounslow (306 Maxi Kit Car) took over the lead from Peter Smith & Pat Walsh (Fiesta WRC). A trio of fastest stages saw Bird climb back up to 2nd overall but stage 6 saw 3 further stalls, dropping over half a minute to West & Smith.

With the car clearly unhappy on tight hairpins Bird drove round the issue on stage 7 before stages 8 & 9 promised no such problem, thanks to a different stage layout. Bird destroyed the opposition and just managed to snatch 2nd place from Smith, by a single second on the final stage. West was too far ahead and took victory by 17 seconds.
