The Rallynuts Stages Rally made the move to Hafren for the 2019 running of the event. The change of location to the classic but underused stages seemed a popular one with a number of crews entering the event purely because of the route. Euan Thorburn & Paul Beaton (Focus WRC) set out trying to make it 3 out of 3 and fastest times on each stage in the opening loop left them with a good lead. A clean sweep followed on the last two stages and victory was Thorburn’s by 59s. Behind though 2nd place was decided on the final stage. Late entries Mark Donnelly & Dai Roberts (Fiesta R5) came out on top after going 8s quicker than Stephen Petch & Michael Wilkinson (Fiesta WRC) on the final stage, taking 2nd by 5s.

Scott Faulkner & Gareth Parry (Evo IX) came home 7th overall, taking group N by 5s thanks to a last stage push. George Lepley & Tom Woodburn (Avenger) were 13th overall and the first 2WD crew after using the larger engined car, for this event. Ben Friend & Cliffy Simmons (Escort MkII) were the 2nd 2WD crew home in 15th overall, just 12s off Lepley. Completing the 2WD podium were Callum Black & Michael Gilbey (ZR) in 16th overall and a further 6s back after a stunning drive all day. It could have been better but on the last stage they lost time caught up in the dust trail left by his Dad Steve, in his Ignis.
