Matthew Robinson and Sam Collis won round three of the FUCHS LUBRICANTS Motorsport UK British Historic Rally Championship on Saturday’s ATL Carlisle Stages (8 June).

On a tough day in Kielder forest, many crews hit problems and retirements included former championship leaders Joe Price and Chris Brooks with engine problems. However, Robinson stormed through the wet and slippery stages to take his second win of the season and move to the head of the points as Simon Webster and Jez Rogers came close to victory. Stanley Orr/Grahame Henderson (Ford Escort Mk1) netted another Category 2 win while Category 1 went to Bob Bean and Malcolm Smithson (Lotus Cortina). Read More »

Two of the leading contenders for this year’s Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship title will drive different cars on the next round of the series, the WOODSTOXX – MOTUL Rally van Wervik (Saturday 15 June), with Jason Pritchard electing to use his North Road Garage Ford Fiesta S2000 and Damian Cole switching back to his Get Connected/Energizer-backed Ford Fiesta WRC.

Having scored maximum points on all three rounds so far this year in a Focus WRC05, series leader Pritchard wants to give that car a rest in preparation for later qualifying events, and in a tactical move is aiming for a strong points scoring finish in a Fiesta S2000. Read More »

Draperstown rally ace Marty McCormack will make his return to the driver’s seat of the TigerRisk Skoda Fabia R5 this weekend as he heads to Rally van Wervik (14-15 June) in preparation for a return to the British Rally Championship at the iconic Renties Ypres Rally (28-29 June).

McCormack has enjoyed a strong start to his BRC campaign this season, but work commitments had ruled him out of contesting the last round of the series in Carlisle. Despite missing out on another points haul, he currently sits fourth in the championship and remains firmly in the title chase. Read More »

British rally co-driver Phil Hall has united with the Royal Air Force Reserves for the remainder of his 2019 Junior World Rally Championship (JWRC) campaign with a unique venture which will launch at the forthcoming Rally Italia Sardega (13-16 June).

A collaboration will see RAF Reservists experience life in one of the most demanding motorsport championships on the planet, whilst Phil and his colleagues from the World Championship will be put through their paces by a series of challenges set by the RAF. Read More »
