Justin Birchall and Jonathan Koonja battled through two tough days of competition to take victory at round two of the Britpart British Cross Country Championship. The event was part of the Scottish Grand Safari, held over two days and 127 miles at Forrest Estate in South West Scotland.

Birchall was fastest on the first two runs in his Lofthouse Freelander but after run three it was round one winners Adrian Marfell and Paul Bartleman who headed the leaderboard, just three seconds in front after 32 miles of competition. Read More »

FIA Junior World Rally Championship (JWRC) co-driver Phil Hall was on-track to secure a solid finish at Rally Italia Sardegna (13-16 June), before a cruel twist of fate meant he would be forced out of the event, almost within sight of the finish ramp.

Hall had guided Tom Williams through three days of gruelling, rough and rocky stages, powering their M-Sport Ford Fiesta MK8 R2T through 300km of arduous terrain across the Sardinian mountains, battling ten other JWRC crews for top honours. Read More »

The second running of Bespoke Rallies’ three-day Pyrenees 1000 rally was centred on the historic motorsport-mad city of Pau, and attracted entries as diverse as a 1929 Chrysler Roadstar and 1972 Ford RS2000. Ultimately, it was the latter belonging to father and son team Gerold and Gerd Letzbor that collected the laurels, having managed to resist a last day dash from Luc Maruenda and his novice co-driver Agathe Bubbe aboard a 1953 Jaguar XK120 roadster. All contestants agreed that the route was spectacular from start to finish.
