Welcome to the final Race and Rally – Rally2 Championship Update and points tables after round 5, The Roger Albert Clark Rally.

A gruelling five-day, 300 mile test across three countries were on offer to crews in the main event, whilst Rally 2 crews were able to sample classic Scottish stages with the RAC Clubmans event on Sunday as only that leg would count for points.

Henri Grehan/Jack Bowen would switch from their usual modified Escort to a Historic specification machine for the RAC and put in an impressive performance to take the fastest cumulative time over the Sunday tests to take their second win of the season.

However, it wasn’t enough to overhaul the consistent Devonian Rudi Lancaster, whose second place ensured he lifted the Race and Rally Rally 2 title in 2019. Co-driven by Dave Price, Lancaster was quick to thank Price for his last minute stand in role and praised the absent Guy Weaver who would also secure the honours. Everyone at R&R and Rally2 wishes Guy the very best – get well soon!

Lancaster also scooped the Open class title, with Phil Burton/Dylan Thomas taking the Open Plus class despite not starting a round since the mid-part of the season. Noel Lappin/Will Akins made the trip across the Irish Sea worthwhile to win the One-Four title in Scotland.
