Nineteen-year-old Scottish rally driver Finlay Retson will aim to become Junior British Rally Champion in 2020 has he embarks on his second season in the series, starting with this weekend’s Cambrian Rally in North Wales (8th February).

The Blairgowrie youngster will return to the ultra-competitive series after enduring a season of “ups and downs” in 2019 with strong performances and podiums mixed with championship-deciding incidents. The 18th edition of Reis Race Retro, held at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry from 21-23 February, will pay tribute to legendary Jaguar test development driver, Norman Dewis OBE.

The show’s ‘Hall of Fame’ will feature a special three-car display, with cars supplied by the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust. Norman Dewis was a motorsport legend and a long-time friend of the show, as well as being responsible for the development of some of Jaguar’s most iconic models. Read More »

The Builth Wells-based Nicky Grist Stages has won the prestigious BTRDA Rally Series ‘Rally of the Year Award 2019’ – which was presented to the event organisers, Quinton Motor Club, at the recent British Trial & Rally Driver Association’s annual gala awards ceremony.

Voted for by competitors, the Nicky Grist Stages was praised for the smooth running of the event and the quality of the stages, which last year saw 43 stage miles run in the classic mid-Wales forests of Crychan, Halfway, Monument and Llyn Login. Read More »

There’s a fresh new look for this year’s McGrady Insurance Motorsport UK Northern Ireland Rally Championship with the revamped series featuring a total of five events – all predominantly tarmac rallies – held between February and July.

Championship organisers have made the bold decision to overhaul the series in a bid to lower costs and increase competition with a number of changes designed to entice competitors to tackle all five rounds. Read More »
