Last weekend kick-started the 2020 BTRDA rally championship as over 100 crews headed to Llandudno for the Cambrian Rally. Making its return to the British Rally Championship for the first time since 2016, Ollie Mellors and Ian Windress gave the Proton Iriz R5 a successful series debut, narrowly missing out on a podium to take fourth overall at the season-opening Cambrian Rally (8th February).

Mellors secured a solid points haul for the Thornbridge Brewery, Reliable Vehicle Logistics and Michelin backed Iriz R5 to kick start their maiden championship assault in the newly homologated example. Read More »

Progressive rally driver Eddie Lewis proved that he is “not there to make up the numbers” after an impressive performance at the opening round of the Junior British Rally Championship last weekend, the Cambrian Rally (8th February).

Lewis, aged 18 from Newark, led the Junior BRC contingent after the opening stage and set a string of top times, before a puncture and subsequent steering issue forced the youngster down the leader board to just miss out on a podium position on the final stage of the rally, finishing fourth.
