Trinidad & Tobago’s David Coelho is the first regional entry confirmed for Sol Rally Barbados 2020, bringing to 10 the number of four-wheel-drive entries so far posted on-line, with huge growth anticipated in those classes, particularly with Sol RB20’s inclusion in the 2020 FIA NACAM Championship. The 31st running of the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) premier event is scheduled for Friday to Sunday, May 29 to 31, with The Rally Show and Flow King of the Hill the previous weekend.

Coelho and his Subway/Zanzibar/Kaizan Sushi Ford Fiesta R5 are the longest-established partnership in the FIA R5 class in the island, following the car’s arrival late in 2018, having contested eight across both the two organising Clubs. He finished seventh overall in the BRC’s 2019 Champion Driver title chase and third in 4wd, also winning the FIA R5 title, albeit against limited competition, a situation which is about to change. Talented 18-year-old rally driver Tom Llewellin will make the switch to the Fuchs Lubricants British Historic Rally Championship (BHRC) in 2020 and is aiming “for the top” on his maiden season in the series.

Llewellin, son of two-time British Rally Champion David, successfully campaigned his Ford Escort MK2 in the Welsh Rally Championship in 2019, securing the two-wheel-drive and Under 23 titles on his debut year in the historic specification machine. Read More »

The iconic Castletown stage on the Isle of Man, famous the world over for its harbour hugging street-side action will make its return to the Manx Rally in 2020 as organisers release outline details of the 15th/16th May event.

The sound of rally cars will once again echo around the streets of Castletown, as crews in the Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship, Manx Rally Championship, Brian Dennis Motorsport and Marsh Commercial Welsh Historic Championship, ANWCC Stage Rally Championship and the SD34 MSG Stage Rally Championship tackle the twisty test through the town under the cover of darkness on Friday 15th May.
