Motorsport UK is pleased to announce a significant milestone in its commitment to sustainability after adopting the United Nations Sports for Climate Action Framework.

The framework, which unites 270 signatories including sporting organisations and their communities in working towards the low carbon economy target established by global leaders with the Paris Agreement, has helped inform the development of the Motorsport UK Sustainability Strategy.

Participants of the framework commit to adherence with five key guiding principles, which are then incorporated into an individual organisation’s strategies, policies, and procedures, thus setting the stage for a wider dissemination of the message and long-term success. Read More »

Blairgowrie rally driver Finlay Retson stood on the Junior British Rally Championship podium for the second time this season after taking second place at the gruelling Beatson’s Building Supplies Mull Rally [8-10 October].

The 21-year-old overcame challenging brake issues and coped with inclement weather on the island, to score important points in his race for the coveted Junior BRC title. Retson and co-driver Rhys Stoneman threaded their Ford Fiesta Rally4 across the demanding roads to great effect, finishing a staggering tenth overall on the rally, beating many local experts in more powerful machinery in the process. The battle for the 2021 McGrady Insurance Motorsport UK N.I. Rally Championship crown is going down to the wire this weekend when the contenders lock horns for the final time this Saturday (16 October) at the Go Power Tour of the Sperrins Rally.

The event was originally scheduled to host the penultimate round of the hotly contested series but November’s Tyrone Stages has been cancelled, ensuring that the 2021 champions will be crowned at the finish of the Magherafelt & District Motor Club spectacular. Read More »
