Hampshire based preparation firm MH Motorsport will mount a three-car assault on this year’s Junior Prestone MSA British Rally Championship as Norwegian ace Oscar Solberg announces he will re-join the team ahead of the opening round of the series, the Pirelli International Rally (28th April).

Solberg, son of World Rally Championship legend Henning, will drive an MH Motorsport Ford Fiesta and will be co-driven by Patrick Barth. Oxshott rally driver Alex Waterman and co-driver Harry Thomas from Amersham overcame driveshaft failure in their EDSL backed Ford Fiesta R2 to finish Britain’s round of the FIA World Rally Championship, Dayinsure Wales Rally GB last weekend (26-29 October).

MH Motorsport enjoyed a successful weekend at the penultimate round of the Prestone MSA British Rally Championship (BRC) by not only securing the Cadet Cup title but by also taking a Junior BRC podium spot at the Ulster Rally (18/19 August).

All four of the MH Motorsport run Ford Fiesta’s made the finish and with an exceptionally high attriction rate on the tough Ulster lanes, made up three quarters of the total BRC Junior and Cadet Cup finishers in the event. Read More »

Hampshire based British rally team MH Motorsport enjoyed a successful weekend at the fifth round of the Prestone MSA British Rally Championship (BRC), scoring a Cadet podium lock-out at the Nicky Grist Stages in Wales (8th/9th July). In the process, they edge just a few points away from securing the Cadet Cup title.

With the Cadet category providing the opportunity for progressive youngsters to hone their skills in older specification R2 cars, the series was always set to provide close competition this season and MH Motorsport’s Josh Cornwell & Richard Bliss have dominated proceedings in each round so far. Swedish driver Fredrik Ahlin and his Norwegian co-driver Torstein Eriksen claimed victory on round five of the Prestone MSA British Rally Championship – the Nicky Grist Stages (8/9 July). Local crew Osian Pryce and Dale Furniss (Ford Fiesta R5) led for most of the event until a high-pressure fuel pump failure sidelined the Welsh pairing on Sunday afternoon – allowing the Scandinavian crew to inherit the lead in their DMACK Skoda Fabia R5. Just a fortnight after the Ypres Rally in Belgium, they have been working hard to ready not only the two Ford Fiesta 1.0litre R2T Junior BRC cars for the event but the three Cadet Ford Fiesta 1600cc R2 challengers too. They will also undoubtedly be aiming to repeat their 100 per cent finishing record from the European event.
