ARR Craib MSA Scottish Rally Championship (SRC) front runner Bruce McCombie will head away an 81 strong entry list at this weekend’s Wales Rally GB National Rally and the field is packed with SRC crews aiming for glory in the Welsh forests.

The Wales Rally GB National runs alongside the penultimate round of the 2017 World Rally Championship and sees the competitors take on 60 competitive stage miles across two days of action.

The event has been won by Scottish Rally Championship crews ever since 2013 when Euan Thorburn and Paul Beaton took victory in their Ford Focus WRC. Mike Faulkner and Peter Foy took over the baton in 2014 and 2015, taking victory in their Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX before McCombie and co-driver Michael Coutts excelled last year in a similar machine. Defending Group N and Class 9 champion Ally Graham will return to the ARR Craib MSA Scottish Rally Championship (SRC) on the Armstrong Galloway Hills Rally as a test bed for an entry to the final round of FIA World Rally Championship, Wales Rally GB.

The Paisley driver campaigned his near standard Mitsubishi Evo IX to eighth overall and second in the Challengers (for drivers without more than one top ten finish in the last decade) last year, but has missed all six of the previous rallies this season. Read More »
