The TV coverage of rounds five and six of the Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship will first be screened on Thursday 17 August at 4.50pm on Motorsport TV.

The programme will then be repeated at 1.10pm on Friday 18 August and at 2.40am on Friday 19 August. Motorsport TV is available on Sky channel 447 and Virgin Media channel 545.

The third programme in the schedule will cover two fast and furious asphalt events as the leading championship contenders headed to Ireland for the ALMC Stages and then to Epynt in Wales for the Harry Flatters Rally. Read More »

The special award winners from the fifth round of the 2017 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship, the ALMC Stages (Sunday 2 July) have been announced.

Rob Smith and Alun Cook, the top BHRC finishers on the event, collected the award for the ‘Best Improvement on Seeding’, which is a set of axle brake pads from Mintex. Read More »

The Co Meath-based ALMC Stages (Sunday 2 July) is round five of the 2017 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship as the focus moves to the closed-road asphalt event in the Republic of Ireland.

The championship’s first visit to the Republic of Ireland for at least 15 years marks the start a run of four asphalt rallies as the schedule heads into the second half of the season. The event covers around 80 stage miles in three loops of stages. Read More »

SONY DSCAnother trip to the Emerald Isle and glorious weather for the 2013 ALMC Stages Rally. With Asphalt championship regulars making up most of the top ten it looked like English and Welsh crews would be dominating the overall results. Damien Cole & James Morgan (Focus WRC) led after loop 1 by just 2 seconds from Steve Simpson & Patrick Walsh (Impreza WRC) with Paul Bird & Aled Davies (Focus WRC) a second further back. With the stages repeated Bird took the lead after SS6 by 1 second from Cole with Simpson 5 seconds further back. Then going in to the final stage the gap remained the same between the top two with Simpson slipping back and it took a stellar final stage from Bird to secure a maiden Irish victory by 6 seconds from Cole. The conclusion to a mad weekend saw us take in our first event in Ireland, with the ALMC Stages Rally. The event was dominated by Melvyn Evans & Aled Davies (Impreza WRC) who eventually won by almost a minute and a half but the rest of the podium was not decided until the end of the very last stage. Damien Cole & James Morgan (Focus WRC) were in the box seat but a broken fly by wire throttle saw them drop over a minute, slipping back to 4th overall. This allowed James Belton & Mark Glennerster (Imprzea WRC) to take 2nd place with Steve Simpson & Patrick Walsh (Impreza WRC) a fine 3rd overall. Read More »
