Welcome to the Race and Rally – Rally2 Championship Update and points tables after round 3, The ATL Carlisle Stages.

In a rally of attrition, the ATL Carlisle Stages once again proved to be a tough event to master with Kielder Forest providing several stings for our crews across the board. Sadly championship leaders Phil Burton/Dylan Thomas ended their event on the opening stage and with several front runners failing to score in both class and overall terms, the leaderboard has seen a swap around as we head to the final two rounds of the season. Matthew Robinson and Sam Collis won round three of the FUCHS LUBRICANTS Motorsport UK British Historic Rally Championship on Saturday’s ATL Carlisle Stages (8 June).

On a tough day in Kielder forest, many crews hit problems and retirements included former championship leaders Joe Price and Chris Brooks with engine problems. However, Robinson stormed through the wet and slippery stages to take his second win of the season and move to the head of the points as Simon Webster and Jez Rogers came close to victory. Stanley Orr/Grahame Henderson (Ford Escort Mk1) netted another Category 2 win while Category 1 went to Bob Bean and Malcolm Smithson (Lotus Cortina). Read More »

Joe Price and Chris Brooks head the FUCHS LUBRICANTS Motorsport UK British Historic Rally Championship into round three, the ATL Carlisle Stages (8 June) as a superb historic entry gathers for another assault on the Kielder forest complex.

One of the strongest historic entries for several seasons includes some crews getting in some practice ahead of the Roger Albert Clark Rally in November, which will use stages in this region. Read More »

Entries are building well for the 2019 ATL Carlisle Stages (Saturday 8 June), which brings together the FUCHS LUBRICANTS Motorsport UK British Historic Rally Championship and the Motoscope Northern Historic Rally Championship.

The first 40 places have now been taken in less than 10 days and the entry is well ahead of target with just under a month to go. Read More »

Despite several crews not making the trip to the event, we were also able to welcome new resistrations to the championship, ensuring another class battle in the Kielder Forests. Congratulations to Phil Burton/DylanThomas for scooping the Open Plus and overall award, vaulting them into the lead of the series. Read More »

Entries have opened for the 2019 ATL Carlisle Stages (Saturday 8 June), which brings together the FUCHS LUBRICANTS Motorsport UK British Historic Rally Championship and the Motoscope Northern Historic Rally Championship.

As well as catering for the two historic championships, the ATL Carlisle Stages will be an ideal event for those competing in modern cars, both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive. It is a round of the burgeoning Rally2 Challenge and the Border Challenge Championship. Read More »
