Three-time British Touring Car Champion Gordon “Flash” Shedden will race an Audi RS 3 LMS in the inaugural World Touring Car Cup (WTCR) this year. The Scotsman who celebrates his 39th birthday today (15 Feb), will compete for Belgian WRT Racing in what is likely to be a 30-race season.

Shedden, who becomes an Audi Sport driver, is expected to commence testing next month with the season scheduled to begin in Marrakech (Morocco) over 7-8 April and close at the Circuito da Guia in Macau (15-18 November), ranked as the world’s most challenging street course and a touring car venue for more than half a century. The championship also visits Argentina, China, Germany, Hungary, Japan, the Netherlands and Portugal. Read More »

Two weeks following the one-two win in the 24-hour race in Dubai, the new Audi R8 LMS GT4 will now be racing in North America. The audience there will get to see the customer sport race car for the first time in the traditional opening round of the IMSA Series at Daytona from January 27 to 28. – Electric racing series to open in Hong Kong with first Audi factory team

For the first time, Audi will be competing in motorsport as a factory team with a fully electric race car this weekend (December 2/3). The two races in Hong Kong form the opening event of the new Formula E season in which Audi is the first German automobile manufacturer to be involved. Audi will be fighting for its fourth overall victory at the Spa 24 Hours on July 29 and 30. A total of ten Audi R8 LMS, four factory-supported race cars and six more with Audi customers at the wheel, will compete at the endurance classic.
