Perthshire born junior rally driver Blair Brown (21) left last weekend’s 138.com Rally Isle of Man (15 – 17th September) with another notch in his motorsport CV having competed in all seven rounds of the DMACK Junior British Rally Championship 2016.

After a disappointing DNF at the Ulster Rally last month and knowing a podium position was out of his reach, the young Scot was aiming, above all else, to record a finish this time around. Blair Brown Fiesta R2T (2)  UlsterKinross driver, Brown and co-driver Richard Simmonds from Duns went into the weekend looking to boost their championship position aiming for a top five finish and double points by playing their Joker nomination on the penultimate round of the DMACK Junior British Rally Championship. The legendary two-day Irish event provided 134 miles of gruelling and technically challenging Tarmac stages and with the interchangeable weather conditions it was never going to be easy for the young Scottish team. BBR pirelliThe only competing Scottish junior rally team, Blair Brown Rallying will be looking for success on the next round of the 2016 DMACK Junior MSA British Rally Championship at the RSAC Scottish Rally next weekend (Saturday 25th June). The event, based in and around Dumfries, is the closest thing to their home round of the series. Kinross based Blair Brown and co-driver Richard Simmonds from Duns will be looking for a good result to keep their debut championship on-track and secure a respectable finish position. Read More »

Blair Brown Mid Wales Stages 2Kinross junior rally driver, Blair Brown and co-driver, Richard Simmonds of Duns will be hoping to secure a finish in round three of this year’s DMACK Junior British Rally Championship to be held next weekend (30 April – 1 May) in the Northumberland Keilder Forest. Blair last attempted the Pirelli Carlisle Rally two years ago in his Peugeot 205 but after securing a class win on the first day bad luck of a broken gearstick meant a “did not finish” for the young rally driver. Next weekend the duo will once again undergo 75 miles of fast challenging gravel stages in an attempt to complete the unfinished business of this legendary rally and secure further points in their BRC campaign.
