Renault Sport Formula One Team is pleased to announce that Carlos Sainz will join the team as Race Driver for the 2018 season.

Twenty-three year-old Carlos has raced in 53 Formula 1 Grands Prix since making his debut at the start of the 2015 season in Australia. To date he has scored 100 points, with a best finishing position of sixth achieved four times

peugeot-dakar17-day-2The brand new PEUGEOT 3008DKRs of Peterhansel/Cottret, Loeb/Elena and Despres/Castera completed the 2017 Dakar Rally’s 9,000-kilometre run through Paraguay, Bolivia and Argentina on the top three steps of the final podium in Buenos.

Today’s landmark one-two-three result takes PEUGEOT’s score on the famous cross-country rally to six outright victories and is ideally timed to coincide with the launch of the new Peugeot 3008 SUV’s career across the world. Read More »

In addition to seeing competitors reach the highest point of 2017 Dakar Rally event at an altitude of almost 5,000 metres, today’s particularly selective test produced the first one-two-three finish for the PEUGEOT 3008 DKR as Loeb/Elena, Sainz/Cruz and Peterhansel/Cottret eased into the top three provisional places overall.

– Not only did Leg 3 of the 2017 Dakar Rally sees crews climb in altitude, but the two-part 364-kilometre competitive section also turned out to be a challenging test on several fronts. The codrivers faced the first navigational difficulties of the event, while the engines had to cope with the effects of the rarefied air.
– After his cautious start to the week, Stéphane Peterhansel was immediately on the pace and emerged as Team Peugeot Total’s pace-setter. The Frenchman went on to post the day’s fastest time and leap from seventh to third place in the overall standings. Read More »
