Renault Sport Formula One Team scored its best result of the season where Nico Hülkenberg finished sixth and Carlos Sainz took seventh at the Pirelli United States Grand Prix. Both drivers made strong starts and ran to a one-stop strategy with the only cloud on an otherwise sunny day a five-second penalty for Carlos exceeding the track limits and being judged to have gained an advantage. The FIA World Rallycross Championship came to Texas for the very 1st time in its young history, with the brand-new event at the Circuit of the Americas offering a wild rodeo ride for Team PEUGEOT Total! Sebastien Loeb finishes 4th and his team mate Timmy Hansen is 6th (after coping a 5sec penalty for a contact with Ekström). They were both driving the latest PEUGEOT 208 WRX EVO and both showing kind of a good milestone in their start strategy over the week-end. Read More »

The FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy will have its first US event in 2018. Championship rights holder IMG has agreed a five-year deal with Circuit of the Americas (COTA) at Austin, Texas.  World RX will make its debut in the United States of America on the weekend of 29-30 September 2018 as part of a festival weekend.

The USA is a key territory for World RX teams, manufacturers and sponsors and this latest news is in line with the World Championship’s continued growth.  The 2018 calendar will feature nine European rounds, Canada, the USA and South Africa. Read More »

renault-us16a– Renault Sport Formula One Team’s Kevin Magnussen made a late charge to take P11 on track and thus finished just shy of the points in today’s United States Grand Prix. Kevin started from P18 on a planned one-stop strategy but as the race played out this was adapted to a two and finally a three-stop.
– Post-race Kevin was given a five-second penalty, meaning he was placed twelfth in the final classification.
