SONY DSCAnother gorgeous this weekend at Silverstone for the 4th round of the ILMC, where Audi & Peugeot were set to continue their battle for sportscar supremacy. After Audi had enjoyed great success at Le Mans the ILMC was very much Peugeot’s domain in 2011. Another fantastic weekend in Northamptonshire as the re-vamped Silverstone played host to the final round of the Le Mans Series and the opening round of the Le Mans Intercontinental Cup. Close behind were a total of three LMP1 Aston Martin’s who all finished on the same lap as the Oreca, however it was the Speedy Racing car of Andrea Belicchi/Marcel Fassler/Nicolas Prost which took second place ahead of the factory car of Jan Charouz/Tomas Enge/Stefan Mucke. Third was more than enough to seal the 2009 LMS championship for the Prodrive crew. Read More »
