A sun drenched Royal Highland Centre at Ingliston was the scene for Round 1 of the 2018 Junior 1000 Ecosse Challenge on Sunday 25th March. The DCC Junior Stages, supported by WESTON TRANSPORT, was run by Dunfermline Car Club who put on an event that was a real credit to the organisers and their associates and the 12 Junior 1000 crews who crossed the startline loved it. vassalloforpressreleaseThe sun shone and so did the Junior 1000 drivers who competed on the second round of the 2013 Brick & Steel Junior 1000 Ecosse Challenge at the DCC Junior Stages Rally, Ingliston on Saturday 27th April. At 9am a total of 13 crews lined up on the startline of the first of 6 stages around the tight circuit using the service roads of the Royal Highland Showground.  6 were pretty much newcomers for 2013 and 7 were “second year” drivers who had competed on this event in 2012. A whole different experience awaits the competitors in the 2013 Brick & Steel Junior 1000 Ecosse Challenge when they get to Ingliston on 27th April for the DCC Stages. This single venue rally uses the service roads in and around the Royal Highland Showground. There will be none of the ruts or gravel of the first Championship round at the old Charterhall airfield a month previous. But instead the roads will be narrow with loads of square corners to test the youngsters and their co-drivers. Read More »

Fourteen year old rally driver Alexander Vassallo took a dominant win at last weekend’s DCC Junior Stages rally, his third consecutive victory in his debut season.

Vassallo, from Corbridge, is contesting both the Junior 1000 Rally Challenge and Junior 1000 Ecosse Challenge championships this year, both championships are for drivers aged between 14 and 17 using cars with engines of 1000cc or less. Read More »
