Every marshal on this year’s DMACK Carlisle Stages (Saturday 10 June) will be given a Smidge midge-proof headnet to help cope with the possibility of midges in the forests.

DMACK has been confirmed as title sponsor for the 2017 Carlisle Stages (Saturday 10 June), which will take in 43 stage miles in the Kershope and Newcastleton complexes for contenders in the BTRDA Rally Series and several regional championships.

The rally will be a round of the Ravenol BTRDA Rally Series, the MSA English Rally Championship, the S G Petch Association of North East and Cumbria Car Clubs Stage Rally Championship and the Association of Northern Car Clubs Forest Challenge.

Building on the success of the first four editions of the DMACK Carlisle Stages, the Roger Albert Clark Rally Motor Club will run a compact event based close to junction 43 of the M6 at Carlisle and running over superb stages. Read More »

Historic Asphalt Rally Championship will be unveiled to the public at Autosport International at the Birmingham NEC (12-15 January). Sam Bilham CarlisleBingley rally ace Sam Bilham scored a season-best result last weekend as he took second in the Fiesta ST Trophy and class N3 on the DMACK Carlisle Stages.  The Reis Motorsport backed 19 year old maintained his one hundred per cent finish record this season and retains the lead of the hard fought championship with  a narrow three point margin to his nearest rival. Carlisle Stages Henry16Irish crew Desi Henry and Liam Moynihan scored an emphatic victory on the DMACK Carlisle Stages (Saturday 11 June) after a superb field of cars battled over five special stages in the Newcastleton region of Kielder forest.

The rally, organised by the Roger Albert Clark Rally Motor Club, was a round of the Ravenol BTRDA Rally Series, the MSA English Rally Championship, the BTRDA Rally Challenge, the S G Petch Association of North East and Cumbria Car Clubs Stage Rally Championship, the Motoscope Northern Historic Rally Championship and the Association of Northern Car Clubs Forest Challenge. Taking a mature approach to the eight round series, the Reis Motorsport Insurance backed pilot has maintained a one hundred per cent finish record so for this season which sees him head to the fifth round with a slender five point lead on his rivals. The rally is a round of the Ravenol BTRDA Rally Series, the MSA English Rally Championship, the BTRDA Rally Challenge, the S G Petch Association of North East and Cumbria Car Clubs Stage Rally Championship, the Motoscope Northern Historic Rally Championship and the Association of Northern Car Clubs Forest Challenge. Carlisle Stages pre16aThe route for the 2016 DMACK Carlisle Stages (Saturday 11 June) has been unveiled and will include two stages of more than 13 miles in length.

With continued title sponsorship from DMACK, the event will offer 42 stage miles in the Kershope and Newcastleton complexes for contenders in the BTRDA Rally Series and several regional championships. The entry fee has been set at £480, reducing to £430 for Rally First contenders. Read More »
